Service Areas Across South-Central Pennsylvania

Good Homes & Additions has been building and remodeling homes across south-central Pennsylvania since 1989. That’s a long time, and over the years we’ve worked on just about every kind of project you can imagine, from small bathroom updates to full custom homes built from scratch. Our office is in Lititz, but our work takes us across the region on a regular basis.

If you’re thinking about adding on to your home, updating a kitchen or bathroom, finishing a basement, or building something new entirely, we’re the kind of contractor who handles the whole thing. Design, planning, construction, one team, start to finish. No handing you off to a subcontractor and hoping for the best.

The six counties listed below cover our primary service area. If you’re in any of them, we’d be glad to come take a look and talk through what you have in mind.

Lancaster County, PA

Lancaster County is home base for us. We’ve been working here since the beginning, and at this point we’ve built and remodeled homes in just about every corner of the county. Farmhouses, townhomes, newer subdivisions, older in-town properties, we’ve seen the full range, and that familiarity with the area and its housing stock genuinely makes a difference when it comes to planning a project.

Homeowners in Lancaster County come to us for kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions, in-law quarters, basement finishing, and custom new home construction. If it involves building or renovating a home in this county, there’s a good chance we’ve done it before.

Communities we serve in Lancaster County include:

  • Lancaste
  • Lititz
  • Ephrata
  • Elizabethtown
  • Manheim
  • Mount Joy
  • Millersville
  • Columbia
  • Strasburg
  • Quarryville
  • Leola
  • Willow Street

Lebanon County, PA

Lebanon County is just up the road, and we’ve been working there long enough to have a good sense of the homes and the homeowners. The county has a mix of older properties with real character and newer construction, and we work comfortably across all of it.

Projects we handle regularly in Lebanon County include home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, in-law suites, finished basements, and custom new home builds. If you’re in the Lebanon area and feeling like your house just doesn’t fit your life the way it used to, that’s usually where the conversation starts.

Communities we serve in Lebanon County include:

  • Lebanon
  • Palmyra
  • Annville
  • Myerstown
  • Cleona
  • Cornwall
  • Jonestown

York County, PA

York County has grown a lot over the years, and we’ve grown right along with it in terms of the work we do there. A lot of the homeowners we meet in this county are dealing with homes that were built for a different stage of life, not enough bedrooms, a kitchen that doesn’t work for how the family actually cooks and gathers, and a basement that’s been unfinished for years. Those are exactly the kinds of problems we solve.

We handle the full range of remodeling and addition work throughout York County, and we bring the same design-build approach we use everywhere else, meaning you work with one team throughout the whole project.

Communities we serve in York County include:

  • York
  • Hanover
  • Red Lion
  • Dallastown
  • Spring Grove
  • Glen Rock
  • Shrewsbury
  • York Haven

Dauphin County, PA

Dauphin County pulls us west toward Harrisburg and the surrounding suburbs on a regular basis. Homeowners here tend to reach out when they’re ready to make a serious investment in their property, an addition that adds real square footage, a kitchen renovation that completely changes how the house feels, or an in-law suite that makes multigenerational living actually workable.

We’re comfortable working throughout the county and we bring the same process to every Dauphin County project: a thorough design phase, clear communication, and construction that’s done right the first time.

Communities we serve in Dauphin County include:

  • Harrisburg
  • Hershey
  • Middletown
  • Hummelstown
  • Steelton
  • Millersburg
  • Halifax
  • Lykens

Chester County, PA

Chester County is the furthest reach of our service area to the south and east, and the homes there often have a lot of architectural character worth preserving. That matters to us. When we add on to a house or renovate part of it, we’re thinking about how the finished product fits the rest of the home, not just whether it functions well, but whether it looks like it was always supposed to be there.

We work with Chester County homeowners on additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, custom new home construction, and everything in between.

Communities we serve in Chester County include:

  • West Chester
  • Coatesville
  • Downingtown
  • Phoenixville
  • Kennett Square
  • Malvern
  • Exton
  • Oxford
  • Parkesburg

Berks County, PA

Berks County rounds out our service area to the north and east. Reading and the communities surrounding it have a healthy mix of older homes that are prime candidates for renovation and newer properties where homeowners are ready to customize. We do both, and we’ve built up a solid track record of project work throughout the county over the years.

Whether you’re in Reading or a smaller borough further out, the process is the same: we sit down with you, figure out what you actually need, design something that works for your home and your budget, and build it.

Communities we serve in Berks County include:

  • Reading
  • Wyomissing
  • Kutztown
  • Boyertown
  • Fleetwood
  • Birdsboro
  • Hamburg
  • Sinking Spring
  • Mohnton
